Things that don't fit into any category coming right up!
Rynn is potty training (with success!!!) finally...HOORAY! She is wearing panties and sadly she still has accidents but we are making great progress.
My kids are cup stacking. I don't know why but they are deriving so much joy from doing this. No pack of plastic cups is safe in this house.
Uncle Ken's in the news. MSNBC LINK Wow, how disgusting those priests were. We are very proud of Uncle Ken.
I hit a transvestite's van. Yes, I backed into it and busted it up good. Go me. *sigh*
The high last night was 10 degrees and the low was -5 degrees. I didn't notice. Went outside today barefoot and with short sleeves and felt fine.
It hasn't snowed here in quite a while. One weekend it did in October and that was exciting. We went sledding a bit. Snow's got a few added bonuses I didn't expect - after it melts a little and then refreezes it's so *sparkly* and *glittery* . And I love to walk in it then - crunch, crunch, crunch. After it melts, though, everything is just muddy and nasty for a few days.
Audrey has this little pony Pawpaw and Mimmy gave her before we left that is supposed to turn hot pink when you touch it with ice. Well the pony seems to stay hot pink more often than not and Audrey decorates it back to white with her tongue!
Audrey's doing great in school. Her teacher says she is going to put her in an advanced reading group when they start with reading soon.
Rynn has an amazing memory. When I need to find something, I ask Rynn where it is and she almost always finds it. A couple of days ago I read a book to her (a simple one - the words were something like "we like reading. we like biking. etc etc...we are friends.") and after only reading it once she read the whole thing back to me flawlessly.
My girls have bike skillZZZ. =) Those kids are tearing up the pavement daily. I am running to keep up with them now, even with Rynn and her training wheels.
My girls have computer skillz too. Audrey of course has been able to use Nickjr.com since she was 4. She actually has her own character in WoW that is, I think, lvl 12 or so which she has done herself. I told her she couldn't play that any more til she could read and now she's trying to convince me she can. Yesterday she gets on and asks some random guy, "dooyoowunt too froop" (Do you want to group) I had to laugh at that one.
Rynn is to the point where she turns on her daddy's laptop, clicks the start menu and goes up to internet explorer, clicks the link that comes up to nickjr.com, goes to the games menu there, and goes to town playing or watching videos. I'm telling you that girl is gifted. She's not even 3 yet and I didn't specifically show her how to do any of that, she just got it by watching us.
Ok this has turned into a bragging session! That's enough about us for now, else my head explode.

Sounds like you some little geniuses..really..who would think a three year old (nearly) could do all the things she can doo..well, I uges she has already passed me up..I would have to say I am not smarter than a nearly three year old..oh well..no braging on my part..sou8nds like you are really enjoying being a mother and teacher to the girls..I am so glad that you are able to be home with them..thats worth a lot to nurture them while small. How could you stand it out in the cold with shorts etc. on.. what kind of a ticket did you get for backing into the van..did it hurt your vehicle? We missed you today, but are so happy that you are having a good time with your family..we had twenty five here> I had originally thought about 18 would come. We had room and plenty to eat for all. Your Mother made the "grammy" gravy this year..also she cooked the turkey, fixed those wonderful potatoes, a corn salad also.
These years are some of your happiest times you will ever have..those two girls made your world altogether different and fulfilled didn't they? I am just getting to the computer after all have left. Your Mom practically cleaned the kitchen by herself..what a great daughter-in-law we have in every respectd..we love her dearly and are so proud of her. I brag on her to everyone who will l isten..she is amazing also.
I would say that Uncle Ken listening to those abused people are very thankful that the end of the ordeal is better than the beginning. It must be satisfying to help them..besides himself. He described them as very poor in material things..this should help them greatly.
will sign off sending our love, prayers and best wishes..gram and granpa
Kerry, I enjoyed the pictures of Breckenridge. Beautiful place. I didn't know they put down fake snow for skiing. I printed up the picture of Rynn and Audrey near the pool. I want to pin it up where I can look at it. I haven't checked the blog in a long time. I'm sorry. I have been so busy and thought you hadn't put anything up. The girls are so cute near the cups. That's a great idea to keep them busy. Tell them I miss them and I wish I could give them a hug. I write again soon. Love Mom

Congratulations on getting Honor Roll!! I am so proud of you. Your comment just made my day. We miss you too. We talk every day about moving back home.
*hugs & kisses*
Aunt Kerry
Well, Christmas has come and gone again..we had 37 here and missed you all..they could have stacked red cups here and made it more christmasy..what a cute and harmless idea..are they still doing that? Yester day we de-decorated nearly everything. We have the lights to take down off of the fence and the bows, garlands etc..pretty soon it will be cold but it isn't supposed to last long. You must have a dry cold if you didn't feel it that much when it was really cold..our temps must make you think that we are having a warm spell? Did you hear what Uncle Ken and Aunt Helen are giving us for Christmas..a new hardwood floor in the den..we will have ceramic in the washroom and some sorta brick paver in front of the door and the fireplace..of course your Dad is the main "layer" We decided we would rather pay him than anyone else..the money is good to lay hardwood..well, will sign off saying that we hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that you will have a blessed New Year. Have you sold your house yet? Love.Grammy
Hey Kay!
I'm at moms today. I came to visit grammy and grandpa. I haven't been on to see your page in a while....such cute pics! I played the clip of Rynn reading once again. I sure thought you had erased it already! Anyway I took out my camera to see if I could capture the clip and make it a clip on mine and it worked really well as if I had recorded it myself sound and everything! Now I can see Rynn in action whenever I like. Ayla is sharing the recliner with mom...not in her lap, but sitting next to her and passed out. Bailey and Kaitlyn and I were playing Uno with Grammy and Kaitlyn was being a sore loser. When something doesn't go her way, she acts like a little baby. Luke is at home, probably watching a movie. That's pretty much all we do lately...not complaining. It's nice to snuggle up and watch something you're both interested in. He's cooking supper tonight...stuffed catfish. He told me before I left.."What time do you think you'll be home that way I can have supper hot for when you come home." Isn't that sweet? A girl could get used to that. Anyway, he's never seen Rynn read No David and I can't wait to show him! Love you all so so so so so much! I can't wait to see my favorite nieces!
Love,
Rachel, and the fly!
